No Quitting and 3 Periods of Effort result in Big Win!
Coming off a Silver Stick tournament where the boys hard work got them deep into the semis, the team was at home Saturday afternoon for a home game against the OMHA first place Paris Wolfpack (12-3-2).

The Tornadoes (8-4-2) learned in that tournament that with the effort and hard work they are capable of, they can compete and win against any team in the league and were looking to show it Saturday.

The first period had a great pace to it as both teams were flying and creating chances but G Kyle Nesplic was focused and ready and the Tburg defence turned in another solid performance which was made easier by the backchecking help from the forwards.

Paris opened the scoring in the first but this time when losing 1-0 the Tornadoes stepped it up and fought harder to get back in it.

At 3:46 in the second period they did, Jack Main was sent in on a nice "kick" pass from Clarkson and showed his stick handling skills on a nice deke from in close to tie it up.

Tburg kept the pressure on and at 7:48 took their first lead of the game. Jaeger Rusnak, who has made a smooth change to Defence, did a great job keeping the puck in at the blueline and setting up Tristan McClay, who was on his feet, in the right position in front and was able to get off a quick one timer.

The lead was short lived though as Paris quickly tied it up 1:30 later.

With 22 seconds left in the third and a face off in the neutral zone it looked as though a tie was on its way, but with the new "no quit" attitude the team scrambled the puck deep in their corner and McClay dug it out to Connor Roberts who banged home the winner with an amazing 0.6 seconds left on the clock!!!!
