Going for Gold in Strathroy!
The team advances to the gold medal game on Saturday, December 29th after winning the first two games in the Strathroy John Henry Memorial Tournament.
Game 1 and game 2 were against two of the five Strathroy Minor Hockey Association teams and the kids played very well in both. The first game was 6 - 1 with Jordyn MacFadden leading the way in net. The second game was 5 - 1 with Evan "Star-kee-per" Starkey turning away several good chances that could have drastically changed the way this game unfolded. The kids were again passing like pros and Coach Dan could be seen taking notes on the bench to improve his own game in the Tillsonburg 35+ Men's League.
The team will be in for a tough match vs. the Ilderton Jets who beat the Mt. Brydges Cougars 4-1. The team faced the Cougars in the Port Stanley tournament where the score was 2-1 and they were a solid team.
