Finishing on a High Note!
The final tournament of the year also marked the last games of the season for the Novice LL #2 team and we finished it on a high note!
The kids played hard all weekend in the Tillsonburg Max Partlo Memorial Local League Annual Tournament. Great games were played against Thorold, Aylmer, and Tillsonburg LL #1 but previously unplayed South Huron gave the team their toughest challenge of all in the final game for the whole ball of wax. The game went back and forth and even saw South Huron ahead of us but the team showed excellent determination and came back to win the game 5 - 2 and win the Novice A side championship. Congratulations kids, and a big nod to South Huron who is an excellent hockey team.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end. This has been an absolutely tremendous year with an unbelievably amazing group of kids, coaches, and parents. Everyone demonstrated exactly what organized sports are all about on and off the ice. The coaching staff is extremely proud of this group of kids and how much they've grown over the course of the year. We are confident that all kids had achieved our number one rule - HAVE FUN.
While the fun on the ice may be over, there are still a few more fun things to come - the end of year player appreciation night and a team swimming party in June.
