Tornadoes Tame The Wolfpack
The first game for the Tornadoes after a lengthy break was an exciting game at the Memorial Arena in Tillsonburg on Sunday.
The Paris Wolfpack were in town on Sunday to play against the Tornadoes in a Sunday matinee. The boys played quite well considering they haven't had a game in ten days. Working hard at practices is paying off nicely.
The Wolfpack goalie played a heck of a game as he saw 40 shots in this match. The boys did a great job of keeping the pressure on in the offensive end and getting the puck to the net. There were some really nice breakout and lead passes throughout the game, but Coach Eric wants to ensure the boys skate as hard as they can to get to open ice when they hit the neutral zone.
The game got a little chippy with some unneeded after the whistle shenanigans, but those involved did their time for the crime in the sin bin.
As was noted in Coach Eric's post game talk, the Golden jersey recipient for this game did a great job playing his position and probably contributed to at least 10 turnovers - job well done Braxton!
Fill up your gas tanks and pack your picnic baskets because next game is on the road in Caledonia on Thursday at 6pm.
