Saturday afternoon Tillsonburg visited the Aylmer Flames for
their 4th win of the season to remain undefeated.
The Tornadoes came out strong from puck drop and really controlled the overall play. The boys showed patience with the puck and focused on making smart passes. This lead to their being able to work as a team and kill off 3 straight penalties. 1-0 after 1.

The second period was a solid continuation of the first with Tillsonburg playing as a team and using the whole ice. Spreading the puck around the ice forced Aylmer to chase and play defensively and Tburg to add to their lead, leading 2-0 after 2.

Penalties - None
It was positive to see the consistency through the first 2 periods carry on into the third. A lot of strong team defence, another great display from the forwards showing their back checking strength which really helps control the opposition, not giving them a chance to build momentum. Defence cleared the puck from in front of the net and the zone with confidence.

Ryan M. made his second start of the season for the win (2-0) and made a good number of difficult saves to earn the teams first shutout.
With the win Tillsonburg moves into sole possession of 1st. Tillsonburg also leads the league in GF (27).
