2015-2016 REGISTRATION: GIRLS AND BOYS

Welcome parents and players.  Registration for the upcoming hockey season is upon us, and we are excited to be preparing for another rewarding season. 

Did you know….

·       Each player’s registration costs are subsidized about 30% through continued fundraising efforts and events held by our organization, striving to make minor hockey an affordable means to teach lasting life lessons and to promote physical development and activity for all participants. 

·       Tillsonburg Minor Hockey managed close to 1400 hours of ice time for our players last year, with over 400 registrants, all managed by over 100 volunteers over the course of the six month season.

·       Tillsonburg Minor Hockey is part of the Ontario Minor Hockey Association, where there are over 110,000 registered players representing almost twenty percent of Canadian hockey. Since 1935, over seven million people have participated in the OMHA.

Registration requires each registrant to complete three steps as noted below:

STEP 1: OMHA RESPECT IN SPORT – PARENT PROGRAM

USING THE ONLINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM

Returning registrants can use their username and password from last year’s registration. If you do not remember your password please use the system to recall the password. If you have any other issues please email the registrar at [email protected].

New registrants under the age of 9 (nine) years can create a profile on the registration system. Any registrant over the age of 9 (nine) must contact the registrar to create a profile.

All new registrants must provide a copy of the child's birth certificate either at the time of payment during early registration, or prior to commencement of the season.

STEP 3:  REGISTRATION PAYMENT TO TMHI

Refer to http://tmhi.org/Pages/1010/Registration_Fees/ for registration fee amounts for both the early registration and for registration after June 30^th.

Discounts:  TMHI will be offering the following discounts to the stated fees:

• Atom – Juvenile: Returning goalies receive a $100 discount at the time of registration.

• Novice: Any registrant who plays the full year as a goalie will receive $100 registration fee refund at the end of the season.

• All Divisions:  Families with three or more registrants will receive a $150 discount at the time of registration.

TMHI Financial Assistance – TMHI recognizes that families have some need for financial assistance.  There are a number of organizations available to provide that assistance, listed below.  In addition, families who are experiencing personal financial hardship may apply to TMHI for assistance with “basic registration fees”.  Should you require assistance please contact the treasurer at [email protected].

EARLY REGISTRATION (DISCOUNTED REGISTRATION FEES) – JUNE 1^ST TO 30^TH

Early Registration will be available on the following three dates:

Tuesday, June 9, 2015 - 6 pm to 8 pm
Wednesday, June 17, 2015 - 6 pm to 8 pm
Saturday June 27, 2015 - 9 am to 12 noon

PAYMENT OPTIONS

• Payment can be made in the form of cheque, money order, or cash. 

• You may pay your registration fee in full or choose to use the available installment plan.

• Installment Plan - If you choose the installment plan, please divide your registration fee(s) into three equal amounts, and date cheques June 30^th, July 31^st and August 31^st for such amounts.  Only families who complete early registration in June may use the installment plan. 

• There will be a $35 fee charged for all NSF cheques

• Payment must be made in full prior to any player participating in the Minor Hockey Program

PAYMENT METHOD

• You must bring in your payment in the form of cheque, money order, or cash to the Minor Hockey Room at the Tillsonburg Community Centre located on the lower level of the arena beside the skate shop on one of the early registration dates listed above, or make an online payment of the full amount owing (no installment plan) by June 30^th.

• Payments WILL NOT be accepted at the Tillsonburg Community Centre Customer Service Desk. DO NOT mail your payments. DO NOT drop them off at the Registar’s house.

• To qualify for the early registration discount, your full payment or installment cheques must be received on one of the above early registration dates, without exception.

REGISTRATION AFTER JUNE 30^TH 

PAYMENT OPTIONS

• You must pay your registration fee in full

• There will be a $35 fee charged for all NSF cheques

• Payment must be made in full prior to any player participating in the Minor Hockey Program

REFUND POLICY

- Refunds will only be given upon receipt of written request

- Please submit your request to TMHI, Attention: Co-Ed/Girls Registrar

- Please allow approximately 3 weeks for processing from times of notification

- Amounts paid by cheque will be delayed until cheque clears bank

- Administration fees will not be refunded

- The balance of registration fees will be refunded as follows:

Until Nov 30th – 60%, Dec 31st – 40%, Jan 15th – 30%, after Jan 15th – 0%
