TMHI has heard from families of the growing interest in creating optional pathways for younger players to have the opportunity to play rep.  We’re happy to share that TMHI has officially applied to the OMHA to introduce a U8MD team for next season. What happens next? Once (and if) OMHA approval is granted, the proposal will move to Board approval. As always, the ability to form a team will depend on having a sufficient local talent pool along with a league of neighbouring centres with U8MD teams for us to play. It’s that time of year! Girls Spring Tryouts are just around the corner, which means it’s time to secure our coaches for the upcoming season. If you’re looking to return to the bench next season, or you’re new to coaching and interested in being part of one of our Girls teams, we’d love to hear from you. Lightning Coach applications are now open through February 22.

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the news of the sudden passing of Sean Mudge this weekend. Sean was a dedicated hockey coach to both Tillsonburg Minor Hockey and South Oxford Minor Hockey. For over a decade, Sean has been a constant presence in our rinks, taking on various roles over the years as a parent coach, a non-parent coach, and as a board member with Tillsonburg Minor Hockey.
