Smiles By Design Atom LL #4 Win Gold in Cayuga!
The Smiles by Design Atoms won a thrilling "A" Final Gold in Cayuga on Saturday, January 13, 2018. The team defeated Cayuga #2 5 to 1 and West Lincoln 2-1 on route to the "A" Final Game to meet up with Cayuga #1. With an extraordinary effort from everyone on the team the Tillsonburg Tornadoes were able to shut down the highest scoring team in the tournament and push the game into the fourth overtime frame where it became a 2 on 2 game. With 1.6 seconds remaining the Tornadoes were able to seal the deal and come away with an exciting 1-0 win. It was the first goal scored against Cayuga during the tournament and happened to be the golden goal. Congratulations to the “Golden” Smiles by Design Atoms on a well deserved team win in Cayuga!
