Gold Medal WIN for Tillsonburg U18 Tornadoes!
GOLD MEDAL WIN for Midget Rep!!

The Tillsonburg Tornadoes U18 team went 4 and 1 this weekend in the Roy Beechy Memorial Tournament.

The boys opened the tournament with a 3-0 loss to Strathroy coming up against a hot goalie.  They did not let that stop them, beating Twin Centre Saturday morning 3-2.  Goals scored by Kaden Bailey and 2 for Johnathon Bouck.

Game 3 Saturday was against a strong Mitchell team.  The boys stepped up to the challenge with goals from Johnathon Bouck and the winner netted by Captain Jack Soares.

The team had to wait for the result of the Strathroy vs Parry Sound Game to seal their fate.  With a tie in that game our Tornadoes moved on to the Sunday morning Semi Finals vs Mt Brydges.

Michel Laundrie started it off with a bullet from the point and then Mt Brydges tied it up.  They then went ahead 2-1 when a goal from Liam Hicks tied it at 2.  The go ahead goal, on a beautiful pass from Trevor Nunn, was slammed to the back of the net by Kaden Bailey.  The insurance empty net goal, once again off a beautiful pass, this time from Jack Soares, was tipped in by Brandon Rosehart.  The boys were off to the final!

Sunday Afternoon in front of a hometown crowd the boys played Mitchell again for the championship.  Game started fast with a lot  of end to end action. By the end of the first period it was 1-0 Tornadoes on a goal from Trevor Nunn.  The rest of the game was a tight match until less than a minute Devin Hawley with a tricked out bank shot, put it away in an empty net.

Weekend MVP went to Charlie Cork for an outstanding show in net!  Very well deserved.

Congrats to our boys!
