Turning 12 in 2022?
TMHI Families,

Those of you with children that will turn 12 in 2022 may be wondering how the vaccine requirements will impact your child from playing hockey.

Although OMHA's policy currently does not require children born in 2010 or later to be vaccinated, Southwestern Public Health does.

SWPH’s letter of instruction regarding vaccination for sports and recreational facilities was updated on November 16th, which states that, “youth who are 11 years of age turning 12 in 2022 will have a 12-week grace period from the time they become eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine or when they turn 12 years of age to show proof of vaccination to enter sport and recreational facilities. This grace period will allow a reasonable opportunity for these children to be fully vaccinated.”

Questions regarding the policy may be directed to our Covid-19 Officer by clicking here.

Thank you,
TMHI Board of Directors
