GOLD MEDAL for U18 Midget REP
CONGRATULATIONS U18 Midget Rep!!
The Tillsonburg Tornadoes U18 team travelled to Barrie for The 400 Cup Tournament March 11-13.
They started off strong against a tough Innisfil team winning 5-3 and then followed up with a 3-2 Loss against the Schumacher Cub team from Timmins. 27 seconds left in the game they scored to win it.
Saturday started slow with a 2-2 tie against the TNT Tornadoes and finished with a strong, yet rough game against the Northland Power Stingers from Iroquois Falls. Our Tillsonburg Team won 6-0.
Sunday morning saw a rematch of the Tornadoes vs Tornadoes with the Tillsonburg team winning 3-0 to advance to the finals.
Facing the Schumacher Cubs again in the finals the boys went down 2-0 heading into the third. Asking the boys, they will tell you, a bit of shenanigans and a great pump up speech by Shawn Lisabeth and these boys came out flying. Tillsonburg owned the third period and won the final Tournament for some of these graduates 5-2.
Great weekend of hockey and memories for all. Thanks Coaches for always believing in these young men and Congrats on the WWE belt boys!!
