Organization - Arrival Procedures for Ice Time
Submitted By Tracy Whelan on Monday, October 5, 2020
TMHI Families,

In order to ensure compliance with screening protocols and access to the arena it is imperative that your child is at the arena, screened and ready to enter the arena 15 minutes before your scheduled ice time.

This ensures the team enters the arena together with the coach which complies with the protocols set forth by the Town of Tillsonburg.

Any players or parents arriving after the team has entered the arena will be denied entry into the arena.   The town protocol has been posted here again for review and compliance.

  • All participants, Parents & Guardians are to enter and exit the facility via the East Entrance only. In the event of an emergency, please use the closest exit.
  • Coaches are to meet all participants at the East Entrance – participants will not be permitted in the facility until their coach is present and the screening process has been completed. The team will enter the arena 15 minutes before their scheduled ice time.
  • Only 1 parent/guardian per participant will be permitted in the facility (as of October 1st). No additional siblings are permitted to enter with the parent. Parents must be present at the time the team enters or will not be permitted entry to the arena.
  • Parents/Guardians are to be screened along with their participant prior to entering the facility.
  • Coaches are to sign off on the screening sheet and hand it to the marshal at the door.
  • Parents/Guardians are to proceed to the appropriate arena. Entrance to Memorial Arena through the door at the top of the stairs. Entrance to Community Arena down the hall and into the cold viewing arena. Parent/guardian are to remain on the upper level of the facility in their designated area
  • All warm viewing is off limits – please remind parents/guardians to dress warm
  • All participants will use either the stairs or elevator to access the lower level.
  • Bags are permitted for participants using a dressing room only (no bags are to be left on the chairs in the hallway)
  • Parents/Guardians will meet their participant at the East Entrance after their ice time.
As a reminder, any equipment your child needs help putting on needs to be on before they enter the arena - including tying skates. No parents are allowed downstairs to assist with equipment or to tie skates.

Any parent/guardian, coach, instructor or participant who is rude, defiant or abusive to any Town Staff will be asked to leave the facility.

Your diligence in complying to these procedures is needed.

Thank you in advance,
TMHI Board of Directors
