Season Opener Kicks off with a WIN!!
Exciting night for our team in Paris with our first game of the season!
After a quick wardrobe change into our whites to help Paris out with no home jersey's ready -- the boys were looking AMAZING in their new jerseys and socks!
Paris hit the score board first at 1.30 minutes into the game, but our boys were quick to rally back.
1st goal of the season goes to #10 Javin Jamieson assisted by #98 Elliott Fletcher! What a goal, almost didn't go in and gravity was in our favour and we tied the game up 1-1 to end the first period.
2nd Period got quite the action! #10 Javin Jamieson was quick to get back on the score board with goal #2 of the night assisted by #6 James Hamilton. Next up was #44 Eli Hamm with an assist from #93 Logan DeLeye. 18 seconds later ... ONE TIMER by #98 Elliott Fletcher. 3 goals added to the score board in the 2nd period.
Paris got another in just as the period was to end bringing the score to 4-2.
3rd Period was a nail biter -- We started off with in the 1st minute of the period another ONE TIMER this one by #44 Eli Hamm bringing us to 5-2 with still 14 minutes of play. Our Defence was working hard to protect the net and #33 Ben Mende made some amazing saves throughout the game. The team worked hard to push through the Power Play Paris had - making scoring impossible for Paris during that 2 minutes. Our short bench was getting tired and Paris got 2 goals in bringing the score to 5-4.
Our boys sure rallied and protected their goalie to not allow Paris to tie the game up ... and they did it!! a WIN for the first game of the season -- 5-4 for Tillsonburg!!
What a great first game of the season!!
