TOURNAMENT RULES
- All OMHA Rules and Regulations apply.
- The Tournament Convenors reserve the right to make decisions regarding the interpretation of the Rules and Regulations, and as such, all decisions will be final.
- All referee calls are final.
- There will be a 3 minute warm-up before each game.
- Teams must be dressed and ready to play 15 minutes before each game.
- No players are to be on the ice without a referee present.
- Round Robin games: 10-10-10 minute periods, stop time, no overtime
- Finals Elimination games:10-10-15 minute periods, stop time
- Ice will be cleaned following all games
Time-Outs
- Teams are allowed one 30 second time-out per game during regulation time in medal round play only.
- No time-outs allowed in round robin play.
Points and Ranking
- Points will be awarded as follows: 2 points for a win in regulation, 1 point for a tie. Teams will be ranked by point totals at the end of the Round Robin. Tie breakers for point totals as follows, in order:
1. Fewest goals against during round robin play.
2. (Goals For + Goals Against), highest number equals higher rank.
3. Most goals for during round robin games.
4. Fewest PIM during round robin play.
5. Coin toss.
Novice-Atom-Peewee-Bantam divisions will play round robin within their group, then cross over 1A vs 2B, 1B VS 2A, winners meet in finals.
Overtime Format in Medal Rounds
- Teams will play 2 on 2.
- If there are penalties, the team will play shorthanded (2 on 1). Penalties will carry over from regulation time.
- Teams cannot go less than 2 on 1 or more than 2 on 1, if extra penalty then it will not start until previous penalty expires
- Goalie is allowed for extra attacker.
Suspensions
- Any player who receives a fighting misconduct or Match Penalty will be suspended for the remainder of the tournament.
- Any suspensions incurred during the tournament will be served during the tournament. Any carry over will be served during the team’s regular season games.
