Ward's Automotive Novice Rep team brings home the International Silver Stick Champion Banner
Submitted By Walter Palermo on Monday, January 28, 2013
The Ward's Automotive Novice Rep team brought home the International Silver Stick Champion Banner this past weekend.

The hard working team went 6-0 against some extremely competitive A teams.  They pushed through the round robin playing Uxbridge, California and Innisfil and headed into a late game Saturday night against the Northwest Chargers from Illinois.  Winning that game sent the team into the semi finals against a previously undefeated London Bandits team who the Novices lost to in an exhibition game in December.  That game would prove the drive and dedication of these kids, scoring with 53 seconds left in the game gained them a spot in the Championship final.

The Ward's Automotive Novices faced the West London Hawks in a rematch from the Tillsonburg Rep Tournament.  The kids took an early lead and held off an aggressive push by the Hawks to win 5-4.

The Novices would like to thank everyone for all their support and well wishes over the weekend.  The strength of a team is measured in wins and losses but the learning and memories cannot be measured.
