The Lions Club Midget LL1 Tornadoes Sweep Oshawa
The
Tillsonburg Lions Club Midget LL1 Tornadoes took Oshawa by storm this past
weekend. The Tornadoes met teams from
across the province at the Bob Black Midget Hockey Tournament.
Each of the 5 games they played were very exciting, back and forth hockey. In game #1, Tillsonburg came back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat Leitrim 7-3. In game #2, the Tornadoes were on fire from the drop of the puck beating a team from Ottawa 3-0. Game #3 was a lot tougher for the crew, but they pulled off a close 3-2 victory against Sudbury. After placing 1st in their pool, Sunday morning the Tornadoes team faced the #1 team from Pool A. In this semifinal game they played a team from Orleans, and won 4-1. The Tillsonburg Tornadoes sealed the deal by winning the Championship Final game 4-1 over Kent. Congratulations Boys. Great Job!!!
