Pause on Hockey Activities until January (TBD)
Submitted By Tracy Whelan on Sun 12 20, 20
Dear TMHI Players, Parents, Coaches, and all stakeholders;

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to keeping our community safe. As you know, Tillsonburg Minor Hockey Inc. (TMHI) falls within the jurisdiction of Southwestern Public Health. TMHI must follow the guidelines and protocols determined by our Local Public Health unit as well as the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF), Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) and the Town of Tillsonburg. We are all working together in an effort to keep all of our players, coaches and parents safe and healthy.

The COVID-19 response framework developed by the Government of Ontario includes targeted, preventative public health measures and restrictions that can be introduced and removed as needed for each region, based on data and other indicators.

The TMHI COVID Committee and TMHI Board of Directors are anticipating that our area will move to the
RED ZONE
on Monday, December 21, 2020.

As a result the TMHI Board has decided to PAUSE (not cancel) all hockey activities over the holiday season and possibly longer so that families can be together and safe. This pause will take effect as of Sunday, December 20, 2020 @ 11:59 pm.

The Board will revisit this decision in early 2021.  This pause will allow the TMHI Executive to work to ensure that any return to play possibilities in January will be implemented in a safe manner that reflects the most up to date measures and with guidance from Southwestern Public Health Unit and OHF.

Our hope is to resume all hockey activities as soon as safely possible.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding through these challenging times!!   Please watch for updates on the TMHI Website and on our Social media in January 2021.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Safe Happy Holidays!!

TMHI Board of Directors
