U11 Atom LL2 Division Champions!
Congratulations to our U11 Atom LL2 Team!
Tillsonburg Tornadoes U11 LL2 had a fantastic end to the season. In 3rd place for the division they were paired up against Delhi for the Semi Finals. They won the Semi-finals against Delhi with a huge 6-1 win, bringing them to the finals against Waterford.
Tillsonburg knew they needed to play hard to beat Waterford who hadn't lost a game this second half of the season. Sunday night in Waterford for the first game of the best of 3 series they were tied up 3-3 at the start of the 3rd period and then Tillsonburg brought it home winning the game 6-3!
Game 2 - Monday night and it was intense with hometown ice and plenty of fans cheering these boys on and they did it!! 6-1 and brought home the CHAMPIONSHIP!!
What an exciting way to end the season for these boys.
Shout out to the amazing coaching team: Head Coach Darryl Whittington assisted by Paul Peters, Craig De Leye and Trainer Denver Barr. Thank you for teaching these boys and leading them to this victory!
