Tillsonburg Dental Lightning Girls are Provincial Bronze Medalists!
The
Tillsonburg Dental U18 Lightning competed at the OWHL Provincial Championships
over the weekend and finished 3rd in the province.
This
group of exceptional young ladies started the season with doubts of having
enough players to ice a team, coming together, placing second in league play,
wining the WOGHL Championship and a Bronze Medal at Provincials.
The U18 Lightning finished 1st place in their pool with a 2-0-1 record and a quarter final win in double over time. An unlucky bounce and hard fought battle in the semis, the girls lost 2-1 and moved on to play in the Bronze medal game winning 2-0. The girls worked extremely hard in practices to be prepared, played with grit, determination and heart. They were led by a core group of seniors and added some juniors to round out the team.
This team has an exceptional work ethic and competed until the final buzzer representing their team, themselves, their bench staff and Tillsonburg Lightning with class, respect and sportsmanship. This is a team culture that has been instilled season after season by a dedicated bench staff.
