TOURNAMENT RULES
1. All OMHA rules and regulations shall apply.
2. A) All games will be 10 - 10 - 10 min stop time periods. No timeouts allowed during round robin play.
One (1) 30 s timeout is allowed per team, during final games.
B) If at any time during the last 5 minutes of the 3rd period, the score spread is equal to or greater than 5 goals,
the clock will go to straight run time. It will revert back to stop time if the spread is reduced to 4 goals.
3. In the case of a tie, there will be a sudden victory overtime until there is a winner.
* First there will be a 5 minute period - 3 on 3 with a goalie.
* If still tied, they will play 5 minute periods - 1 on 1 with a goalie until there is a winner.
* The goalie must remain on the ice at all times during the overtime period(s).
* All overtime periods are stop time, but player changes must be made on "the fly".
(NO PLAYER CHANGES DURING STOPAGE OF PLAY)
* Minor penalties called during overtime will result in a penalty shot. Coincidental minors
shall be served in the usual manor. For the purpose of this rule, any major or match
penalties called, will be served in the usual manor and a penalty shot will also
be awarded.
4. 3 points will be alloted for a regulation win
2 points will be alloted for an overtime win
1 point will be alloted for an overtime loss
5. Individual or team suspensions shall be enforced as per OMHA manual of operations.
6. Zero tolerance rule: Abusive behaviour on or off the ice, (physical, verbal etc.) conducted by any
player, team official or on ice official, game official or fan will not be tolerated. Such action
will result in the guilty party or parties being expelled from the tournament.
7. If there are conflicting sweater colours, the home team will be expected to wear sweaters of contrasting
colour.
8. All teams must have a certified coach and trainer on the bench at all games.
9. All players and team officials must be at the arena 1 hour prior to their first scheduled game. Teams must be
ready to start all games 15 minutes ahead of their scheduled start time.
10. At the end of round robin games, if there is a tie, the following rules apply:
1) Head to Head
2) GF % {GF/(GF+GA)}
3) Least Penalty Minutes
4) Earliest Goal Scored in the Tournament
