Late Thursday evening Tillsonburg travelled to Paris for
their first game vs the Wolfpack this season.
The Tornadoes had some jump in the early going of the first period. The first featured a lot of positive passing and heads up hockey which lead to maintaining good puck possession. Tillsonburg played a disciplined period staying out of the box and being rewarded with Mattew F’s great feat: a natural hat trick in a single period. Tburg up 3-0 after 1.

The second period was a more even period as Paris was stronger on the puck which allowed the Wolf pack 2 goals of their own. Tburg however kept up the scoring with another 3 of their own, leading 6-2 after 2.

The third was mix of positives and negatives. A lot of strong defence, goaltending and great efforts in back checking and puck control were offset by long shifts and 5 penalties. A 5-3 penalty resulted in a very short-handed goal by Josiah V. Paris and Tburg added 2 more each. 8-4 Final.

Jeremy W. made his second start of the season for the win and was solid in net making a steady number of saves in the last 2 periods.
The Tornadoes are off to a great start with all the parts to keep building. Keep working and keep improving!
